By means of Supreme Decree No. 151, dated September 28, 2023, the Ministry of Public Works awarded to Sacyr-Agunsa Consortium the Concession Contract for the execution, repair, conservation and operation of the public fiscal work called “El Loa Airport of Calama”.

Sociedad Concesionaria Aeropuerto El Loa S.A. is the consortium formed by: Sacyr-AGUNSA with 80% and 20%ownership of the shares respectively. El Loa Airport located in Calama is part of Sacyr-AGUNSA’s airport P3 concessions portfolio, together with El Tepual Airport located in Puerto Montt and Chacalluta Airport located in Arica.

Sacyr in Chile, – a Spanish holding involved in construction and P3 concessions – was awarded the first contract to build and operate the Los Vilos-La Serena highway in 1996, at the very beginning of the P3 concession operations From that date onwards, it has become relevant player within the construction and concessions industry in Chile, providing experience and innovation for the development of highly complex projects.

Through the construction, concession and operation of projects, Sacyr is involved in highway, hospital and airport projects in 14 of the 16 economical regions of the country.
